Complaints of misconduct against former chief justice of Pakistan, Justice ® Umar Ata Bandial and sitting Supreme Court judge, Justice Ijazul Ahsan have been dismissed as baseless, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Saturday.
Supreme Court judge, Justice Sardar Tariq Masood dismissed the complaints of misconduct against two judges as baseless.
According to sources, complaints of misconduct were filed against former CJP Bandial and Justice Ahsan by ordinary citizens.
Sources said Justice Masood gave legal opinion on the complaint against both the judges.
Another complaint of misconduct against former chief justice Saqib Nisar was also declared baseless.
It bears mentioning here that earlier this year, the parliament also decided to file a reference against then chief justice on the charge of misconduct.
PPP’s Shazia Sobia Soomro moved a motion to form a special committee to file a reference against then CJP Bandial, and her motion was approved by a majority vote.
