The Neelum Valley has received the first snowfall of the year, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.
Ratti Gali Lake, Baboon Valley and Shounter Lake have received snowfall.
The first snowfall has ushered in winter in the upper areas of Neelum Valley.
Tourists in large numbers were seen at Ratti Gali Lake, Baboon Valley, Chitta Katha Lake, and Patlian Lake.
Rain in Lahore
The weather became pleasant as different cities of Punjab including Lahore received light rain today.
Different areas of Lahore including Kot Lakhpat, Township, Gulberg, Ichhra, and Cantt received rain.
Many electricity feeders tripped due to heavy showers.
The roads in Faisalabad were presenting a look of a gigantic pool.
According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department, rain/wind-thundershower (with few moderate to heavy falls) is expected in Kashmir, (Neelum valley, Muzaffarabad, Poonch, Hattian, Bagh, Haveli, Sudhanoti, Kotli, Bhimber, Mirpur), Gilgit Baltistan (Diamir, Astore, Ghizer, Skardu, Hunza, Gilgit, Ghanche, Shigar), Murree, Galliyat, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Attock, Chakwal, Jhelum, Mandi Bahauddin, Hafizabad, Gujranwala, Gujrat, Sialkot, Narowal, Lahore, Kasur, Sheikhupura, Chitral, Dir, Swat, Shangla, Buner, Kurram, Mansehra, Kohistan, Abbottabad, Haripur, Kohat, Peshawar, Mardan, Swabi and Nowshera with occasional gaps.
Rain/wind-thundershower is also expected in Lakki Marwat, Dera Ismail Khan, Bannu, Karak, Waziristan, Mianwali, Sargodha, Khushab, Faisalabad, Toba Tek Singh, Jhang, Bhakkar, Layyah, Dera Ghazi Khan, Multan and Bahawalnagar on 23rd and 24th September with occasional gaps.
The PMD has warned that the moderate to heavy falls may cause urban flooding in low-lying areas of Lahore, Gujranwala and Rawalpindi.
It has also warned that moderate to heavy rains may trigger landslides in the vulnerable areas of Murree, Galliyat, Kashmir, Gilgit Baltistan, Chitral, Dir, Swat, Kohistan, Shangla, Buner, Mansehra and Abbottabad from 22nd to 24th September.
