Final and second phase of Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) elections will be held today in which 13600 voters will cast their votes. Polling will start at 9:00 am and will continue till 8 am without any break, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
During the second phase candidates from PIAF Founders Alliance and PIAF Pioneers Progressive Alliance will participate in the elections to elect new Associate Class members.
In the first phase which was concluded yesterday, candidates from PIAF Pioneers Progressive Alliance made clean sweep in annual elections of Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI).
According to final results, PIAF Progressive Alliance’s Tanveer Ahmed Sheikh secured first position by obtaining 1416 votes. Mohammad Muneed Manoo secured 1387 votes, Khalid Usman obtained 1380 votes and declared successful.
Ehtesham-ul-Haq got 1367 votes while Syed Hassan Raza 1355 votes, Asif Khan 1351 votes, Waqas Aslam 1347 and declared victorious.
In the annual elections of LCCI, Irfan Iqbal Qureshi secured 1346 votes, Abdul Majeed 1343, Iftikhar Ahmed 1340 votes, Amir Saeed Mian 1331 votes, Manzoor Hussain Jafri 1285, Shaban Akhtar 1275, Syed Salman Ali also became successful by securing 1271 votes.
Talking to City 42, Fahim-ur-Rehman Soigol candidate for presidentship of PIAF Pioneers Progressive Group said that they started their election campaign two months earlier under the supervision of Chairman Mian Anjum Nisar. He said that businessman want change and he is optimistic in this regard that their candidates bring definitely bring change after winning elections.
Candidate for presidentship from PIAF Founder LBF Alliance Nasir Hameed Khan said that there are chanting only one slogan and that is to respect and serve to traders.
He was confident that business community will cast their vote from serial 1 to 15. He said that after winning the elections they will offer Nawafil.
