Punjab University bus crushes old man to death in Lahore

As many as two people died and two received critical injuries during two separate accidents in Gulberg and Gulshan-e-Ravi areas of Lahore on Friday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
In the first incident which took place in Gulberg, 66-year-old Saleem Hussain died on the spot when a speedy bus belonging to Punjab University crushes his motorcycle while his granddaughter received seriously injured.
The deceased was on his way to drop her granddaughter to school when the Punjab University bus hit his motorcycle from the backside.
Later the driver of the bus escaped from the scene.
Soon after receiving the report of the incident, police and Rescue 1122 teams reached the site and shifted the dead body and the injured girl to hospital.
Further investigation was under way.
In another accident, a young man was killed and his companion became seriously injured when a speedy bus hit their motorcycle in Gulshan-e-Ravi area of Lahore.
The incident took place near Moon Market and Gulshan-e-Ravi Police Station.
Eye-witnesses said that the young man died on the spot while another was shifted to hospital in a serious condition.
They further said that the incident occurred near Gulan-e-Ravi Police Station but the police miserably failed to reach the site timely.
The driver of the bus fled away from the scene. Later police shifted the dead body of young man to hospital’s mortuary and took custody of the bus.
Police constituted various teams to apprehend the culprits. Police started a search operation to identify the heirs of the dead and injured man and they are also trying to identify them with the help of CCTV cameras.
