Friends of Islamabad Zoo (FIZ) introduced themselves as an “independent body of citizens” concerned about the treatment of animals in Pakistan, at the Marghazar Zoo.
It is pertinent to not that on Islamabad High Court’s (IHC) orders, all the animals and birds are now relocating to safer places from the Islamabad Zoo. Last month, a lion and lioness died due to ill-treatment and ignoring the protocols during the shifting of the animals.
FIZ said, “No one talks about these monkeys at Islamabad Zoo who live in horrid conditions. Their relocation is pending and hopefully will be done soon.”

In a tweet, Friends of Islamabad Zoo said, “Suzie the Bear. In dire straits at Islamabad Marghazar Zoo, stuck in a concrete pit. Believe it or not, she is in better condition now as compared to previous one. Her condition is being assessed for relocation and she'll be relocated locally if all goes well.”
