Three cops rape a newly married bride

 Three cops allegedly gang-raped a newly married bride at gunpoint in front of her husband in an area of Samundri tehsil, about 52 km from Faisalabad district, the 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Friday.     

According to sources, the policemen posted on Eagle Squad duty stopped a woman while going with a boy during the wee hours of Thursday. The accused constable identified as Asim, Soheb, and Shujaat Hussain allegedly gang-raped the girl at gunpoint.

The victim girl who happens to be Hafiz Quran has been treated in Tehsil Headquarters Hospital in critical condition, the sources said.

Taking notice of the gruesome incident, SP City suspended the three constables and shut them up in a cell.    

Despite the passage of more than 16 hours, the police could not register a case against the accused.
