Flight schedule was affected due to low visibility on the runway of Allama Iqbal International Airport, Lahore amid dense fog, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.
According to the airport sources, the visibility reduced to 50 meters on the runaway, and therefore, the runway had to be closed temporarily for the landing and taking-off of planes.
The schedule of several domestic and international flights to and from Lahore was affected, for 13 flights were cancelled and over 15 delayed.
A Lahore-bound Oman Air flight WY341 from Muscat was cancelled.
A Muscat-bound Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) flight PK342 from Lahore was also cancelled.
A Karachi-bound Serene Air flight ER521 from Lahore was also cancelled.
A Lahore-bound Serene Air flight ER522 from Karachi was also cancelled.
A Lahore-bound PIA flight PK204 from Dubai was also cancelled.
A Lahore-bound PIA flight PK306 from Karachi was also cancelled.
A Quetta-bound PIA flight PK322 from Lahore was also cancelled.
A Karachi-bound PIA flight PK303 from Lahore will fly to its destination with a delay of 6 hours and 20 minutes.
Another PIA flight PK305 will leave for its destination with a delay of six hours and 15 minutes.
A Lahore-bound PIA flight PK860 from Jeddah will be made to land in Islamabad.
