Only a few days after a PTI MNA from Nowshera ransacked a WAPDA office, this time the party’s MPA Zar Alam Khan from the city, along with dozens of party workers, stormed Kandahar grid station and resorted to vandalism to vent their anger at unannounced loadshedding and overbilling, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday.
The MPA and his workers forced their entry into the machinery room inside the station, thrashed the policemen deputed there and forcibly got the power supply restored.
The incident spread panic among the Peshawar Electric Supply Company (PESCO) employees, who went to a concerned police station and submitted an application for the registration of an FIR against the MPA and the workers accompanying him.
The employees warned that if the police did not register an FIR, they would approach the sessions court through the chief of law.
A few days earlier, the same party’s MNA Zulfiqar Khan went wild and stormed a WAPDA office.
The MNA tore the registers as well as other documents lying on the table and shouted abuses not only at the WAPDA employees but also at the federal government.
