Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) leader Azam Swati on Saturday complained that he was arrested despite the fact that he was on a waiting list of the ‘Jail Bharo’ movement, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Talking to media, he said he was arrested without any reason. “I have been kept in a solitary confinement where I am served the meal which is served to ordinary prisoners,” he said, adding, “Under what law I have been arrested.”
He said if the Supreme Court came to the rescue of the constitution, there was no doubt that elections would be held within 90 days of the dissolution of two provincial assemblies.
Number of PTI workers frequenting Zaman Park drops
PTI workers, who had thronged the Zaman Park residence of former prime minister and party Chairman Imran Khan and erected camps outside his home after reports of his arrest started doing rounds, have now started leaving the place.
Not many PTI leaders are seen at Imran's residence these days.
