Azam Khan seeks to make comeback in national team

Islamabad United's wicketkeeper-batsman, Azam Khan has expressed his desire to make a comeback if given a chance in the national team, reported 24NewsHD TV channel Saturday.


Talking to media about his role in the Islamabad United and his aspirations for the upcoming matches, Azam stated, "I will try to win the team by performing well in the next matches." His commitment to excellence is evident, and he is prepared to adapt to any batting position assigned by the management.


Azam Khan, known for his power-hitting abilities, believed that a player's job was to execute what the team required.


Azam also emphasized the importance of key player Alex Hales for Islamabad United. “Hales' absence will be felt,” he added.  


When asked about playing alongside international stars in the Pakistan Super League (PSL), Azam highlighted that only those players who perform at the international level also participate in the league.


To a question, he replied that Our bowling line-up is good, the batting is not clicking.


Not about the future, my focus is firmly on the PSL at present, he said adding that he enjoys playing alongside fast bowler Naseem Shah and his brother, finding them both challenging and enjoyable.


As a father, former cricketer Moin Khan provides valuable guidance, especially when they share a dressing room.


Azam also considers sharing that space with legendary Sir Vivian Richards an honor and an opportunity for learning.


To another question, Azam was optimistic about his team’s bowling lineup. However, he acknowledges that their batting needs improvement.
