The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Saturday constituted a two-member special bench to hear the appeals filed by former prime minister and ex-PTI chairman Imran Khan in the US cipher case and Toshakhana reference, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The bench, comprising IHC Chief Justice (CJ) Justice Aamer Farooq and Justice Miangul Hassan Aurangzeb, will hear Imran’s petitions, seeking suspension of his sentences in both these cases besides his release on bail.
The registrar of the IHC also fixed the hearing of these cases on Monday.
Imran’s bails extended in seven cases
Also on Saturday, an anti-terrorism court judge Arshad Javed extended the interim bails granted to Imran in seven cases until March 1.
Speaking on the occasion, the judge said that now the court would give decisions on bail pleas of the former prime minister on merit in his absence.
