Quetta Gladiators bowl first in PSL match against Multan Sultans

Quetta Gladiators have won the toss and elected to field first in a Pakistan Super League,  2024 (PSL-2024) match against Multan Sultans at Multan International Cricket Stadium today, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.


Sultans will look to restore their winning momentum after they lost their first game of this season against Peshawar Zalmi by five runs in a close encounter on February 23.
Despite that defeat, they are still one of the strongest teams to beat.


On the other hand, Quetta Gladiators are unbeaten so far as they have secured three wins already.


The Caribbean bowling all-rounder, Akeal Hosein took (5 wickets in 3 matches) with an exceptional economy rate. These players could play a key role for Quetta Gladiators today.


The skipper, Mohammad Rizwan, with the highest score (82 runs off 59 balls) has been the backbone of Sultan’s batting lineup for the last several seasons.


Dawid Malan, an Englishman, swiftly scored 52 runs off 25 balls, while the right-arm-medium-pacer Mohammad Ali is the highest wicket-taker among the bowlers.


For the Gladiators, opener Jason Roy, another Englishman, who has so far scored 137 runs in three matches is the highest run-scorer and most consistent performer.
