Heavy rains have been playing havoc across the country, 24NewsHD TV channel reported Sunday.
The Sindh government has announced a public holiday in Karachi and Hyderabad divisions tomorrow (Monday).
Sindh Information Minister Sharjeel Memon took to Twitter to make the announcement.
Chief Minister Sindh Murad Ali Shah visited different areas, Sharjeel Memon, Nasir Shah, and Murtaza Wahab also accompanied him.
The Sindh government reps are in field to extend help to the citizens and monitor relief and rescue operation in the capital and parts of the provinice, The information minister tweeted.
In the latest weather advisory, the PMD said strong monsoon currents have continually penetrated Sindh since last night and would prevail.
"Under the influence of this weather system, widespread rain-wind/thunderstorms with scattered heavy/very heavy falls (extremely heavy at times) are likely in Tharparker, Umerkot, Mirpurkhas, Badin, Thatta, Sujawal, Tando M Khan, Tando Allayar, Hyderabad, Matiari, Sanghar, Nawabshah, Khairpur, Sukkur, Larkana, Jacobabad, Dadu, Jamshoro, Shikarpur, Qambar Shahdadkot, Ghotki and Kashmore districts and Karachi division from today to July 26-27," the PMD said.

According to PDMA, two people died, and another five sustained injuries in rain-related incidents across the KP. A total of 35 houses were partially damaged and 15 houses were completely damaged in the province, it said, adding that relief and rehab operations are underway.
Relief materials are being distributed to the victims of Bajaur, Khyber, DIK, and Upper Kohistan, said the spokesman, adding that in various areas of Chitral, the traffic was blocked and efforts are on to clear the roads from rainwater.

Reportedly, floods caused by heavy torrential rains in the Sulaiman Range led to breaches in protection dykes of two water channels in district Rajanpur, leaving at least 2,500 villagers stranded. Floodwater breached the protection dyke of Chak Shaheed drain that flooded the surroundings of the village, cutting its 2,500 residents off from the rest of the area.
Due to the monsoon rains, the areas of Rojhan and Jampur tehsils of district Rajanpur are facing losses while tribal low-lying areas are completely flooded. A gypsy family that was stranded in the flood was rescued by Rescue 1122 as the overflow from the river Chenab, which is having a low-level flood, inundated the low-lying areas along the river banks.In Baluchistan, the downpour affected Khuzdar, Lasbela and Hub.
