Another flight steward of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has allegedly managed to slip away in Toronto, Canada, reported the 24NewsHD TV channel.
Reports said the flight steward namely Muntazir Mehdi disappeared from a hotel in Toronto, Canada. He had flown from Lahore on flight PK-798 and was staying at the hotel with the rest of the crew. When he didn’t show up for duty on the return flight to Pakistan, the airline and Canadian immigration authorities were alerted.
This is not the first such incident as a number of PIA flight attendants have previously slipped away from Canada for citizenship.
Four flight stewards and air hostesses from the same airline had also disappeared in a similar way before.
Last year, another PIA flight steward named Ramzan Gul had also gone missing in Canada under similar circumstances after arriving in Toronto on flight PK-798. In such situations, the airline informs the Canadian immigration authorities following standard procedures for missing crew members.
