A local court in Islamabad on Monday granted bail to PTI Chairman Imran Khan and his wife Bushra Bibi in the illegal Nikkah case, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The district and sessions court granted bail to the former premier and his spouse against the surety bonds of Rs30,000 each.
Civil Judge Qudratullah heard the petitions.
After fixing July 26 date for arguments on the acquittal plea, the court adjourned the case till Wednesday.
PTI Chairman Imran Khan appeared before the court in person. However, a plea seeking Bushra Bibi’s exemption from the court appearance was submitted which was duly accepted by the judge.

Imran seeks detail of new cases against him
Separately, PTI Chairman Imran Khan submitted a petition to the Islamabad High Court seeking details of cases registered against him during last 30 days.
He pleaded with the court to issue an order restraining authorities to arrest him in any new case until he resorts to the concerned forum regarding the case.
The PTI chairman made interior secretary, Islamabad IG police and FIA respondents in his application.
The FIA has summoned Imran in the cipher case tomorrow.
The PTI chairman attached documents regarding cipher and also made Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah’s statements and tweets part of his application.
