Federal Ministers Sherry Rehman and Faisal Karim Kundi rejected rumours of finalizing the name of Ishaq Dar as Caretaker Prime Minister and confirmed that no decision has been taken in this regard.
According to the 24News HD TV channel, Federal Minister of Climate Change Sherry Rehman and Minister of State for Poverty Alleviation and Social Safety Faisal Karim Kundi addressed a press conference on Monday.
Both the ministers categorically stated that Pakistan People's Party (PPP) did not receive Ishaq Dar's name as Caretaker Prime Minister from Nawaz League.
Sherry Rehman said yesterday someone was crowned caretaker prime minister by fake news but the reality is that no name was presented to PPP nor her party agreed on any name.
She said neutrality is a basic thing for a caretaker government and there will be agreement on some name or the other as the consultation takes time.
She added that a three members committee has been formed for consulting the name of the caretaker prime minister.
The minister further said PPP wants a level playing field in the election and the national stability is possible only with timely elections.
