A bride’s family filed a lawsuit against the owner of Madina Lehenga House, located on Ferozepur Road in Ichhra market of Lahore, for failing to deliver the wedding costume on time, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

According to the details, Shahid, the bride’s brother from Township lodged a case in the consumer court on Thursday seeking damages worth five crores rupees (Rs50 million).

According to Shahid, the family had placed an order for a bridal lehenga for his sister's wedding at Madina Lehenga House.

However, despite repeated assurances, the shop failed to deliver the bridal outfit on time even after the Baraat (wedding party) arrived.

This awkward situation has caused mental distress to the bride and her whole family.

Moreover, consumer court judge Muhammad Ali issued a notice to the shop owner, scheduling a hearing for September 3rd.

The family is seeking compensation for the emotional distress and punishing inconvenience caused by the delayed delivery of the bridal attire.
