A delegation of Child Life Foundation met with Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Thursday.
The delegation included Vice Chairman Child Life Foundation Muhammad Sohail Taba and Chief Executive Dr. Ahsan Rabbani.
The Child Life Foundation delegation appreciated the vision and services of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif regarding reforms in the health sector.
The meeting reviewed collaboration for providing best medical facilities to children across Punjab.
Proposals for introduction of second shift in hospitals were considered in the meeting.
Possibilities for collaboration with the Punjab Government for improvement of basic child health care structure were also discussed in the meeting.
On the occasion, measures related to training of medical personnel for delivery of best health services were also reviewed.
The meeting also discussed launch of telemedicine and digital health services related to child health in remote areas.
Talking on the occasion, Chief Minister said that health of children and well-being is paramount.
Maryam Nawaz Sharif said that steps are being taken to provide access to the best treatment facilities to every child in Punjab.
The Chief Minister said that government is committed to save the lives of innocent children and providing better health services.
Giving briefing to Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, Vice Chairman Child Life Foundation Muhammad Suhail Taba said that significant positive changes have taken place in the health sector in Punjab.
He said 159 telemedicine satellite centers have been set up in government hospitals.
The Chief Minister was briefed that child deaths reduced by 50 percent due to quality emergency care.
Dr. Ahsan Rabbani said that 24 hours free services are provided in emergency rooms.
Senator Parvez Rashid, Chief Secretary Zahid Akhtar Zaman and other officials were also present on the occasion.
