A man was arrested for allegedly raping and blackmailing a lady doctor in Kot Radha Kishan, reported 24NewsHD TV Channel on Thursday.
According to the details, the victim, Dr Saman, reported to the police that the accused had invited her to his home, where he drugged her and sexually assaulted her while filming the act.
The police, acting on the doctor's complaint, arrested the accused and recovered explicit videos from his mobile phone.
The police revealed that the accused had extorted a large sum of money from the doctor by blackmailing her with the videos.
The police have started investigations and assured the victim that the accused will face strict legal action.
In a separate and equally distressing incident in Hafizabad, unknown individuals gang-raped a woman at gunpoint in front of her husband and daughter.
According to the 24NewsHD TV channel, the incident occurred near Marh Baloochan Road in Sukhaki. The gangsters fled the scene after committing the crime.
The police have registered the case and formed teams to apprehend the culprits. The District Police Officer (DPO) stated that efforts are underway to track down the suspects.
