Faculty members of the Institute of Sociology at Punjab University staged a protest outside their department against their own director, Miss Rubina.

The demonstration was fueled by concerns regarding the director's qualifications and conduct.

The protesting faculty members claimed that Miss Rubina's appointment is inconsistent with her degree, as she is an expert in public health rather than sociology. They questioned the basis of her appointment to the sociology department.

Additionally, the faculty raised complaints about the director's administrative decisions and her reportedly bitter behaviour. The protestors are demanding the selection board appoint a new director who is appropriately qualified for the position in sociology.
