Nepotism is a burning topic in Bollywood industry and has been debated at almost every event. Many celebs from the industry feel that it's unfair on the outsiders who are genuinely talented and more deserving.
But nepotism exists in all the fields and it is not just restricted to Bollywood or Lollywood.
Many Bollywood actors opened up about the dark side of the Indian film industry.
Many called out popular talk show hosted by Johar, Koffee With Karan as well. In a recent development, season 6 of the show has been shelved.
Taking to Twitter, veteran actor Iffat Omar wrote: “Pakistani industry artists sharing news of Koffee with Karan in hot water but darlings what about the #nepotism in your own backyard? Kabhi socha hay hamari industry me adakar kitne hayn? (Have you ever thought about the nepotism in our own industry)”
There is yet to be a discussion around nepotism in the Pakistani film industry. We hope the comments from Omar can kick off a debate soon.
