Popular actress Zara Noor Abbas has spoken out about her battle with depression, calling for greater public discussion to help tackle the mental health crisis.
Zara came forward with her struggles with depression and revealed that she was diagnosed with clinical depression.
Taking to Instagram, Zara wrote: “I have had severe anxiety issues for some time but I hadn’t addressed them. I thought it is because of my hectic work routine that I feel stressed and tired. It kept creeping up and taking over the best of me. Then I realized that I should get it checked and I found out that it is borderline clinical depression. Doctors recommended medicines and therapy which I went for.”
Earlier, the actress opened up about how people are judged by society. Taking to Twitter, she wrote: “You keep things to yourself as you are always thrown by what people will interpret it as. That fear is what makes you sulk deep into the darkness. So just before you make a judgment about someone, STOP and think about the inner battle that they are constantly fighting.”
