A man threw acid on a woman who was sleeping in her house in Kamalia on Saturday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
According to details, accused Abbas entered the house of Fazilat Bibi who is mother of four children. She was sleeping in her house when the accused threw acid on her. The 40% body of the victim woman was burnt due to acid.
Police have arrested accused Abbas and started investigation.
Man shoots dead estranged wife in Bahawalpur
In another incident, a man shot dead his wife in Javed Colony, Bahawalpur.
As per details, 47-year-old Shaukat tried to persuade his estranged wife Shamim Mai. But she didn’t come around and was still angry. The fumed husband took out his gun and fired a shot in the belly of his wife who later died of her bullet wound.
Rivals kill couple over land dispute in Farooqabad
Meanwhile, in another tragic incident, close relatives gunned down a couple in Farooqabad over a land dispute.
Reportedly, Makhdoom Sadiq advocate came to see his landed property along with his wife in Dera Nigah, Farooqabad from Toba Tek Singh.
But when his rivals including Noor Alam who happened to be his close relatives saw Sadiq and wife, they opened fire on them killing the couple on the spot.
Police reached the crime scene and shifted the dead bodies to the city morgue.
