The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) on Wednesday issued a notification giving special permission to Qatar Airways to carry out three ferry flights from Islamabad.
It is pertinent to note that Civil Aviation Authority has suspended all the international and national flight operations till April 4 due to the COVID-19 outbreak.
24NewsHD TV channel reported that the decision has been taken to facilitate the awaiting passengers wanted to go to the United Kingdom (UK), United States (US) and other countries.
As per the details, Qatar Airways will bring in three empty planes on March 26 (Thursday), 27 (Friday) and March 28 (Saturday) to take back passengers stuck at Islamabad International Airport while no crew member would be allowed to come out of the planes, the CAA said.
