Most of the official data that was allegedly removed from the CM House a few days ago contained inquiries of Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) into the alleged corruption of Rs150 million in the CM’s hometown Taunsa Sharif, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Friday.
It has been learnt that the Rs50 million bailout package given by the CM Office for Taunsa Sharif was also embezzled and funds could not be spent on real projects.
It is also worth mentioning here that the ACE had ordered an action against the officers of Taunsa Municipal Corporation over the irregularities reported.
However, no action was taken against the officers despite the alleged corruption and misappropriation of funds mentioned in the inquiry reports.
The inquiry reports state that funds allocated for Muharram routes, sports festival and water supply schemes in Taunsa were also embezzled.
They add that public funds were spent illegally without the approval of higher authorities and in violation of the PPRA rules.
All these inquiry reports were concealed in the CM House.
