Court in Islamabad issues production order for Imran Khan

Islamabad District and Sessions Court on Monday ordered the Adiala Jail superintendent to produce former prime minister and ex-PTI chairman Imran Khan in the court on April 4, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.


Additional Sessions Judge Tahir Abbas Sipra gave the order on pre-bail petitions filed by Imran in six cases.


Similarly, his wife Bushra Bibi had filed a pre-arrest bail plea in one case.


Six cases had been registered against the founder of PTI at different police stations of Islamabad namely Tarnol, Ramna, Secretariat, Kohsar, and Karachi Company police station, while a case of Toshakhana fake receipts had been registered against Bushra at Kohsar police station of the federal capital.


On Friday, a court had issued production order for ex-PTI chairman Imran Khan and senior party leader Shah Mahmood Qureshi in a case of vandalism during the 2022 Azadi March.


PTI counsels Sardar Mohammad Masroof and Naeem Haider Panjotha were present in the courtroom as a sessions court heard the case.


The hearing was presided over by judge Mureed Abbas.


The case against the former premier, Qureshi, and others was registered at Karachi Company police station of the federal capital.
