An earthquake of mild intensity shook Balochistan district of Zhob on Monday sending shock waves in surrounding areas, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The earthquake was measured at 4.8 on Richter scale.
According to the Seismological Center, the earthquake tremors were felt in Zhob district with epicentre 76 kms east of the district and at a depth of 37 kms.
The earthquake struck at 8:25 in the morning. After the shocks, people rushed out of their houses and shops reciting Holy Quran verses.
However, no loss of life or other damage was reported as a result of the earthquake.
It is pertinent to note that earthquake tremors had been felt in several districts of the province including Quetta during the last one week.
