Pakistan’s opening batsman Fakhar Zaman is likely to resume batting practice after Eid, reported 24newsHD TV channel on Tuesday.
As per sources, his progress is being closely monitored, and a fresh physical assessment would be conducted immediately after Eid festivity. Following the evaluation, he may be granted clearance to start batting again.
Fakhar Zaman has been undergoing rehabilitation at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) since February 20, under the supervision of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) medical panel.
His rehabilitation includes ground training, controlled running sessions, deep breathing exercises, and gentle stretching routines, while weight training has been temporarily restricted to prevent strain.
The left-handed batter suffered a serious muscle strain between his ribs during the opening match of the Champions Trophy, ruling him out of action.
However, sources confirm that he is making rapid progress towards full recovery.
