Russian cargo ship Crystal St Petersburg reached Karachi with commercial goods for the first time, 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Thursday.
The ship reached Karachi port in 21 days. Maritime Affairs Minister Syed Faisal Sabzwari with KPT Chairman Raza Zaidi and Russian Consul General Andrey Viktorovich Fedorov welcomed the ship at the port.
Faisal Sabzwari termed it a landmark achievement of the government and said that it would give Pakistan’s trade direct access to the Russian market too. He said this will also increase Pakistan’s exports. Faisal Sabzwari said the government is on a mission to boost trade ties with the Central Asian states.
