Following a report by City 42, the Health Department Saturday took swift action against three employees of Allam Iqbal Medical College (AIMC) involved in a knife attack on collegues.

According to the 24NewsHD TV channel, Muhammad Hanif, Bashir Ahmed, and Akbar Ali have been dismissed from their posts in the college with immidiate effect.

The department has issued a formal dismissal letter of these aggressive employees with an instruction to report to the Health Department immediately.

Additionally, all three employees have been banned from entering the college and affiliated hospital premises.

The college administration has been directed the officials to deliver the dismissed employees final salary slips to their homes.

This action stems from an incident reported by City42 channel yesterday, where the Chef of the Allama Iqbal Medical College named Akbar Ali along with his unidentified outsider accomplices allegedly attempted to attack security guard Mian Tariq and other employees with knives.

The armed assault caused widespread panic within the college. Reportedly, these employees were previously involved in a shooting incident at the college.

An injured employee stated that retired employees and outsiders have been threatening the medical college staff for a long time. He demanded that former employees and those suspended on corruption charges be banned from entering the hospital.

The college administration submitted a complaint against the violent employees in the police to register a case and emphasized that violent incidents will not be tolerated under any circumstances.

The college administration has also imposed a ban on the entry of outsiders and former employees into the college. The college administration assured that all possible measures will be taken to ensure the safety of students, faculty, and staff.
