LNG prices raised up to 6.49% for May

The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority Friday increased the tariff on imported liquefied natural gas up to 6.49% per million British thermal units for the two public gas utilities, namely Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited and Sui Southern Gas Company with retrospective effect from May 1, 2024, reported 24NewsHD TV channel. 


According to a notification issued on Friday, the price of LNG surged by $0.86 per mmbtu, after which the consumers of Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) will face an increase of $0.80 per mmbtu higher.


Following the revised price of the LNG, the price of liquefied gas is fixed at $13.74 per mmbtu.


Likewise, the consumers of Sui Southern Gas Company Limited (SSGC) will face an increase of $0.86 per mmbtu and hence the revised price of the LNG for SSGC is fixed at $14.05 per mmbtu.
