Former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has announced his decision to address a large gathering on Youm-e-Takbeer, reported 24NewsHD TV channel Friday.
The event will see over 5000 Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) officials and local body representatives summoned to Lahore.
In an effort to add a public dimension to the General Council meeting, a substantial number of party workers will also be gathered. Nawaz Sharif, after resuming the party presidency, will speak candidly on organizational and constitutional matters.
He is also expected to announce plans for countrywide tours, including visits to Azad Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan, and all four provinces.
Due to the hot weather, the General Council meeting will be held at Flaties Hotel instead of Model Town.
