Punjab Provincial Cabinet has approved legal action against the former prime minister Imran Khan and others for statements spewing hate against state institutions, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz chaired the provincial cabinet meeting here on Friday.
The meeting okayed the appointment of Dr. Talat Naseer Pasha for the post of Director General of Punjab Agriculture Food and Drug Authority.
The provincial cabinet also approved legal action against the founder of PTI and others for hate speech against state institutions.
The government approved the appointment of Dr Amjad for the post of Director General of the Punjab Forensic Science Agency.
It approved the establishment of the waste management company in Sargodha.
The cabinet approved the appointment of the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Punjab Skills Development Fund (PSDF) Ahmed Ali Khan and the nomination of two technical experts of RUDA — Tahir Masood and Sheikh Muhammad Mehmood.
The huddle also approved the 12-member Cabinet Standing Committee on Universal Health Insurance (UHI).
The Punjab cabinet approved the appointment of Asadullah as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Punjab Rural Sustainable Water Supply and Sanitation.
The Punjab cabinet approved the establishment of the Punjab Environment and Climate Change Endowment Fund Company. The company was approved under the Companies Act 2017 for the Punjab Environment Endowment Fund.
The provincial government approved financial assistance for the families of PSP police officers who died while on duty.
It also gave its node to a settlement with PAMCO and Iranian company MMIC.
The meeting was attended by provincial ministers, the chief secretary, the IG and concerned secretaries and officials.
