The federal cabinet on Friday approved providing foolproof security to the England cricket team during the tour of Pakistan, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The cabinet meeting held to review security arrangements for the upcoming visit of the England cricket team has also approved to deploy Pakistan Army, Rangers, and other Police for the security of the guests.
England cricket team will be visiting Pakistan from 27 November to 22 December 2022.
The cabinet has issued directions to the Ministry of Interior, home departments of Punjab and Sindh provinces, Pakistan Army, Punjab Rangers, and Army Aviation for the provision of security to the British team.
According to the schedule, the England cricket team will stay in Islamabad from Nov 27 to Dec 5 for playing the first test match to be played in Rawalpindi. Likewise, the England cricket team will stay in Multan from Dec 6 to Dec 13 for playing the second test match. The England cricket team will stay in Karachi from Dec 14 to Dec 22 for contesting the third test match with Pakistan.
The law enforcement agencies would maintain complete security to ensure foolproof security for the guest team who is visiting Pakistan after an interval of 17 years.
