A man shot dead his wife due to a minor domestic dispute in village Bhakkar Jamali of Matiari district, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Monday.
Sources said that the deceased woman, identified as Afshan, was working as a lecturer.
Soon after the incident New Saeedabad police team arrived at the crime scene and shifted the dead body to a local hospital for autopsy.
Further investigation was underway.
Two die in road accident near Saeedabad
Two persons died on the spot and 11 others were injured when two passenger coaches collided with a Mazda vehicle on National Highway near New Saeedabad area of Mitiari.
Sources said that accident occurred due to overspeeding of vehicles on damaged roads which also exposed the inefficiency of Motorway police.
One of the dead persons was driver of a vehicle who was identified as Aslam, resident of Badin.
After the incident the dead bodies and injured persons were shifted to hospital.
