Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) workers on Sunday night allegedly foiled Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur's attempt to flee from the protest rally.
As Gandapur was leaving the rally, the protesting PTI workers stopped him and told him that he could not leave. They said told Gandapur that your only destination is Adiala Jail.
However, Gandapur tried to explain to the party workers that he was going to do ablution and then offer prayers. He will come back to the rally after saying prayers.
There is a strong mistrust between PTI workers and Gandapur as the latter had disappeared suddenly from the last protest rally which he was supposed to lead. Later, he appeared after several hours and said that he was hiding at KP House in Islamabad to avoid arrest. However, party workers who had reached Islamabad's D-Chowk despite all odds refused to buy Gandapur's story.
