Interior Minister Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed has said that the government is going to unfreeze the accounts of the seminaries of proscribed Tehreek-e-Labbaik, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Talking to a presser in Islamabad on Monday, the minister stated that he had already informed Prime Minister Imran Khan regarding his decision to restore the frozen accounts of the seminaries.
He said the government team’s negotiations with the banned outfit went well promising that the government would fulfill its commitments made with the defunct religious party. He said he found outlawed TLP Chief Saad Hussain Rizvi very compliant.
Sh Rasheed informed that the government team would apprise Prime Minister Khan about the details of meeting with the TLP on his return from Saudi Arabia tomorrow.
The minister said the government did not want to indulge in any conflict with TLP.
Commenting on the US diplomat meeting with PML-N President and Vice President separately in Lahore last week, Sheikh Rasheed said that Pakistan’s political decision would be taken inside the country.
He also congratulated the Pakistan nation on winning the Pakistan Cricket Team in the T20 World Cup match against India.
He said he had no power but if he had, he would have announced a holiday on Monday (today).
