In the second incident of a similar nature in Dadu in just one month, another employee of the grid station was electrocuted due to the negligence of the National Transmission & Despatch Company (NTDC), reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.
The management of the grid station, on the other hand, is reluctant to give its version.
Although SDO Naeem Memon picked up the phone, but disconnected it immediately.
According to sources, Zainul Abideen Soomro, who worked at 500 KV grid station, was working on Khuzdar line when he came into contact with a high voltage wire. He received an electric shock and died on the spot.
His body was later shifted to DHQ Hospital.
The deceased was the father of three children. His family members have appealed to the government to order probe into their sole breadwinner’s death.
Hitherto, Abdus Sattar, who worked at Meharr grid station, had also died from an electric shock.
Following the incident, the SEPCO chief had suspended four officials for showing negligence.
