Andleeb Abbas, Sadia Sohail and Sameera Ahmed join IPP

Former Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf lawmakers  Andleeb Abbas, Sadia Sohail and Sameera Ahmed met Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party (IPP) Patron-in-Chief Jahangir Khan Tareen.

According to the 24NewsHD TV channel, they expressed confidence in the leadership of Jahangir Khan Tareen who welcomed them to the party.

Speaking on the occasion, Andaleeb said: “ We have to look forward.” Our objective is to work for public welfare.”

She shed light on the ongoing financial condition and public problems saying that the people are finding it difficult to make both ends meet.

She laid stress on joint efforts to get over the economic crisis. “We have to join hands for the cause.”

Sadia Sohail said she has been in the field to provide people with relief from price hikes and uncertainty and she will continue doing so.

Sameera Ahmed said the union is for the public welfare and the country’s betterment. {“We can work together.”

The former lawmakers lashed out at the elements behind the May 9 rioting and stressed what happened on May 9 should not have happened.

“The institutions are ours and this country is also ours,” Andaleeb said

On May 9, PTI members took to the streets to vent their spleen against the arrest of the party chief Imran Khan.

Angry protesters damaged public property, state assets and sensitive installations.

They stormed GHQ in Rawalpindi, Radio Pakistan in Peshawar and Jinnah House in Lahore.

Innocent people lost their lives and the riots left a trail of destruction. A number of PTI members stepped down in protest.
