The husband allegedly strangulated his wife to death in the area of Sadar Beruni police station in Rawalpindi, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Thursday.
According to police, the deceased Zakia Maqbool is a mother of three children.
The woman's murder was reported by her brother Nasir over the phone, police said.
Police said the incident took place in Bank Colony. Accused Qasim Parvez disappeared from the spot and search is on.
