Senior Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader and former Punjab law minister Rana Sanaullah said on Saturday it was a pity that while on one hand, the country was economically going downhill, on the other hand, the government was busy filing bogus cases against the opposition leaders, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Speaking to the media outside a banking court in Lahore, he accused the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) government of ‘rigging’ the Cantonment Board (CB) elections.
“People are finding it hard to make both ends meet,” Sanaullah said, adding the present government would only realize this once it came to face to face with them prior to the next general elections. “They (PTI) leaders will have to face the wrath of masses. So much so that they will not be able to run their election campaigns,” PML-N leader prophesied.
Earlier, Rana Sanaullah and others could not be indicted during the hearing of a case filed against the PML-N leader for possessing 15 kilo of heroin.
Special judge Anti-Narcotics adjourned the hearing of a case until October 2 when three suspects in the case namely Usman, Mubeen and Akram submitted to the court their bail applications.
Addressing the defence counsel, the judge remarked that if he did not give arguments in the case, he would give decision on these applications.
