A remote-control bomb was defused in the limits of Baka Khel police station, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.
According to the police, the bomb had been planted at the Baka Khel office of National Database and Registration Authority (Nadra).
“It was a 3kg remote-control bomb which was defused in time,” police said.
Police foil sabotage bid
A policeman under the supervision of Station House Officer (SHO) foiled a sabotage bid and recovered two hand grenades from a garbage heap in Bara Agency.
As per details, the SHO of Bara police station Shamshad Afridi received information from secret sources that two hand grenades were hidden in a garbage heap near Haji Wilayat Khan’s house in Shaikhabad within the jurisdiction of Bara Police station.
The police contingent reached the spot and after inspecting the spot they found two hand grenades in garbage pile which were hidden by the unknown miscreants with the intention of sabotage and brought them to Bara police station.
“Further investigation is going on. However, no one has been arrested as of yet,” said SHO.
