Police arrested another proclaimed offender (PO) on his return from abroad as the crackdown on the absconders involved in murder, robbery and kidnapping has been intensified, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.
According to police, the number of absconders arrested this year has reached 117.
The accused, identified as Shoaib Amjad, was wanted in a murder case.
The police had placed his name on the Provisional National Identification List (PNIL).
The Punjab inspector general of police (IGP) commended the team for arresting the accused.
He directed to complete the legal process as soon as possible so that the accused could be punished.
