Malaria on rise in Qamber Shahdadkot Sindh
Malaria patients started increasing in Qamber Shahdadkot Sindh as out of 200 patients at District Headquarter (DHQ) Hospital, 90 have tested positive for malaria.
A doctor confirmed that the number of positive malaria patients has reached 630 in a week.
However, supply of malaria drug Primaquine to government hospitals could be disrupted.
Only one doctor is available on duty due to which patients are forced to return home because the number of patients is high, complaints a patient.
Patients are also forced to go around hospitals to get medicines including malaria doses.
Patients appealed to the district administration to appoint more doctors as the number of malaria flu patients is high.
On the other hand, a doctor said that due to a lack of staff, we are returning patients back while the hospital administration is not cooperating with doctors.
