Peshawar Institute of Cardiology (PIC) achieved a milestone by introducing state-of-the-art technology called ‘Theatrics Device Technology’ to provide timely treatment to heart patients to avoid further damage, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday.
Spokesman of PIC Riffat Alam said that PIC became first institute of South Asia which is using supersaturated oxygen for heart attack patients.
He further said that 5 successful operations of 3 men and 2 women were conducted during last five days.
Dr Abdullah, Head of Cardiology Department of Peshawar Institute of Cardiology said that after the heart attack this procedure of treatment being adopted.
He said that during the treatment of doctors supply huge quantity of supersaturated oxygen to small veins of heart.
Dr. Ali Raza, Cardiologist said that after the heart attack danger of cardiac weakness is quite visible. He said possibility of weakness of cardiac muscles can be controlled by using this procedure.
Dr. Ali Raza said that SSO2 treatment is being used in under-developed countries but our team successfully introduce this procedure in KPK which and this is honor for us.
It is necessary to mention here that PIC become a prestigious institute not only for KPK but for entire Pakistan. He said that PIC will continue to facilitate the people Pakistan.
