Indian-born Canadian actor, producer, martial artist and television personality Akshay Kumar (real name: Rajiv Hari Om Bhatia) lends a helping hand towards the distressing Covid-19 situation in India.
The renowned actor was very agitated and wanted to somehow be of any aid to the massive pandemic India is going through.
He decided to donate a large amount summing up to 1 crore to the Gautam Gambhir foundation which helps the afflicted corona victims with food, medicine and oxygen supply.

Former cricketer Gambhir wrote: "Every help in this gloom comes as a ray of hope. Thanks a lot Akshay Kumar for committing Rs 1 crore to #GGF for food, meds and oxygen for the needy! God bless. #InThisTogether,"
Akshay responded to Gambhir’s tweet saying he was glad to help:
