In the most bizarre drop scene of the three girls who went missing from Karachi and their ‘kidnapping’ was highlighted on social media, the whereabouts of all three were found yesterday as the girls have got married of their free will and are in different areas of Punjab, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
After Dua Zehra, Nimra Kazmi another girl, 25-year-old Dina of Soldier Bazar, Karachi went missing mysteriously. As their cases were highlighted on social media, this gave a run to the police to find the whereabouts of the missing girls as soon as possible. Even FIA also jumped into the fray and its team started looking for clues using technological assistance.
Dua Zehra recovered Okara
Police said that Dua Zehra was recovered from Okara. According to DPO Faisal Gulzar, the police recovered the girl with the help of a local landlord from village 40-SP, Pakpattan.
Ms Zehra also released a video statement, the DPO said adding that friendship between Ms Zehra and Zaheer Ahmad, her husband, started three years ago when both used to play PubG game online.
He said Ms Zehra and her husband were in the custody of Havel Lakha police. He further informed that Ms Zehra had filed a petition of harassment in Lahore against her family. He said the girl will be handed over later to Lahore police. But she would not be handed over to the Karachi police for now, he added.
Yesterday, the police traced the whereabouts of Ms Zehra who was spotted in Lahore. Police reached the girl who told them that she left her house on her own and got married to a man, named Zaheer Ahmad, resident of Haveli Lakha, tehsil Depalpur.
She said she was staying at the house of a landlord in Haveli Lakha with her husband Zaheer. She said she contracted love marriage. She showed the police her Nikah Namah.
Ms Zehra said that her family used to beat her and wanted her to get married to another man. She said she was not kidnapped rather she came here on her own.
She said she was not even 14-year-old as was claimed by her parents. She said she was 18-year-old and contracted Nikah with Zaheer with her free will. She pleaded that she should not be bothered as she was happy with her husband.
Punjab police said that Dua Zehra with her husband Zaheer who are in Haveli Lakha would visit police station to record their statements and provide their Nikah Nama later today.
Dua Zehra’s father claims daughter abducted, lying under pressure
On the other hand, Dua Zehra’s father Mehdi Kazmi appealed to the Karachi Child Protection Department to take his daughter in its custody pleading for her safety.
He was talking to media in Karachi on Tuesday.
The father still persisted that his daughter was kidnapped despite the video statement released by his daughter earlier who claimed she had contracted Niakh with one Zaheer Ahmad of her free will.
Mr Kazmi said that he did not know Zaheer Ahmad. He claimed that his daughter was actually 13 years, 11 months and 14 days old and she was born on 27-04-2008. He said that even his own marriage was solemnized on May 7, 2005. Even 18 years haven’t been completed to my own marriage, he added.
He also showed to the press the NADRA record of his marriage, birth certificate of Dua Zehra and her passport.
He said that he never beat his daughter. He insisted that his daughter had been kidnapped and she was giving statement under pressure.
He demanded of the authorities to investigate the matter thoroughly.
Nimra contracts Nikah in DG Khan
Nimra Kazmi also surfaced in news stories yesterday. She said she had tied the knot with a man Najib Shahrukh, resident of Dera Ghazi Khan, to whom she was betrothed since childhood. But now her parents wanted to married her off to another man. She also filed a harassment petition in the additional sessions court, DG Khan against her father on Monday. The judge barred the Taunsa police from harassing her illegally.
Nimra also released a video statement in which she claimed she had willingly left home and contracted Nikah on April 18 with Najib Shahrukh insisting that no one had abducted her.
Dina traced in Vehari
The 25-year-old ‘missing’ Dina’s case was no different from the other two. Police also traced her whereabouts.
Dina has got married to a man named Asad Abbas, resident of Vehari. The girl told the police that she contracted love marriage.
Police contacted the family of Dina in Soldier Bazar and informed them, who withdrew their application submitted to report the kidnapping of their daughter.
