Junior football team’s former captain Munir Aftab passes away

Pakistan Junior Football Lyari Team’s former captain Muneer Aftab passed away at the age of 26 following a protracted battle with kidney disease, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday. 

Munir Aftab was buried in Mawa Shah Graveyard Karachi. 

Munir Aftab was suffering from kidney disease and was under treatment for a long time. He spent his last days in abject poverty due to unemployment and economic hardship. He was among the players who were dismissed from the National Bank.

The deceased was a defensive player and had captained Pakistan in Under-14, Under-16 and Under-19 football competitions in addition to other international tournaments.

He has left behind a widow and three innocent children to mourn. His youngest daughter is only six months old.
