Bollywood star Samantha Ruth Prabhu has managed to steal spotlight after her intelligent action of chopping and transforming her pristine white gown, which the star donned during her big day of wedding, into a sultry outfit after the years of divorce, in order to promote sustainability in fashion.

The Indian actress prioritized wearing the original gown at her Christian wedding with her ex-husband, Naga Chaitanya, in 2016. The beautiful dress was designed by her close friend and designer, Kresha Bajaj. However, as Samantha and Chaitanya announced their separation in October 2021, the former decided to revamp her wedding dress.

Samantha Ruth Prabhu took to her Instagram handle and dropped some pictures of herself dressed in a black-hued sultry dress. The outfit had a sheer bottom and a fully-embellished corset-style top. The actress revealed that she created the cocktail dress after cutting her beloved wedding gown, which was embellished with beading and floral applique. Samantha wore the dress to an award show, where she was named the 'Leaders of Change (female)'. She wrote in her caption: “We cannot ignore sustainability anymore. The dress I am wearing today is a beloved gown that has been repurposed for this occasion by the most talented @kreshabajajofficial. While that might sound insignificant... entitled even... to many... I assure you that repurposing my old clothes is only one of many steps I am consciously taking to alter my habits and make my lifestyle more sustainable.”

Samantha Ruth Prabhu also shared a video in collaboration with Kresha Bajaj, which showed the transformation of her beautiful wedding gown into a sexy black-hued dress. The clip started with Samantha's white gown getting chopped and the embellishments being removed cautiously. Then, the sheer fabric was dyed in black and arranged in a new pattern. The corset-style bodice of the new dress was hand-embroidered, and later, floral appliques were added to the bottom area. This stunning transformation indeed left our jaws dropped.
