The Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) on Wednesday decided to continue chartered operations despite European Union (EU) Aviation Safety Agency’s ban on PIA flights to Europe and UK and advertised seeking chartered operations tenders from companies, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The TV channel reported that the PIA in an advertisement called for offers for chartered operations based on flights to Europe and the United Kingdom.
“The aspiring charter company requires the presence of wide-body aircraft approved from the European Union Aviation Safety Agency which should not be less than 12 years old.”
PIA’s advertisement stated that charter aircraft services will be utilized until March 2021 while it is mandatory for aircraft providers to submit ISO certificates.
Terms and conditions to the companies participating will be as per rules while companies participating in tenders will have to provide services under PPRA rules, the advertisement said.
